Embed a variable in a caption

You can insert embedded variables in the captions of any graphic objects that have captions. At runtime, the caption will be updated with the real-time values of the variable.
To insert an embedded variable in a caption
  1. Double-click the object whose caption you want to set up, to open its
    Properties
     dialog box.
  2. Click the tab containing the
    Caption
    box. This may be the
    General
    tab, the
    Label
    tab or the
    States
     tab, depending on the type of object.
  3. In the
    Caption
     text box, type the caption as desired. At the point where you want to embed the variable, click
    Insert Variable
    .
  4. Select the type of variable you want to insert.
  5. Define the variable and click
    OK
    .
