Edit an existing embedded variable

You may need to edit an embedded variable.
To edit an embedded variable
  1. In the
    Caption
     box or
    String Edit
     dialog box, double-click the embedded variable, or right-click the variable and then select
    Edit Variable
    .
  2. Make changes in the dialog box that opens.
  3. Click
    OK.
    TIP:
    Embedded variables are case sensitive, and must be in the proper format and syntax to work. If you make a mistake, your variable will be treated as a piece of text. Therefore, do not attempt to edit embedded variables manually. Use the
    Insert Variable
     and
    Edit variable
     dialog boxes to avoid problems.
    To delete an embedded variable, select the embedded variable and then press
    Delete
    .
