Save and commit changes

Save your progress and commit changes to the local version-control repository.
TIP: For more information about version control, including how to push changes into remote repositories, see Version control.
  1. From the toolbar, select
    Save and Commit
    .
  2. If needed, in the prompt, select
    Open FactoryTalk Optix Studio options
     to configure your user name and email.
    The user name and email are needed to commit changes to the repository.
  3. Enter a meaningful commit message.
    For example, enter
    Configured quick start project
    .
  4. Select
    OK
    .
To see the commits history and restore the project to a commit, select
View history
.
