Configure security for content at runtime

Configure the security of a screen or content at runtime for users in a group or role. For example, specify whether a screen or content is Visible or Enabled by creating a dynamic link from those properties to a group or role Session variable.
Create users and groups or roles and then assign users to groups or roles.
  1. In
    Project view
    , select the screen or graphic object.
  2. In
    Properties
     hover over the property  and then select
    Add Dynamic Link
    .
  3. In the dynamic link browser, expand
    Aliases > Session > Session
    .
  4. Set the value of the property for a:
    • Group. Expand
      Groups
       and select the group.
    • Role. Expand
      Roles
       and select the role.
    TIP: To set the same property value for additional groups and roles, in the property, create a complex dynamic link with an expression evaluator or other necessary logic. See  Create a complex dynamic link.
