Create a dynamic link by dragging the source

Create a dynamic link by dragging the source from
Project view
to the value of the property that you want the dynamic link to set.
  1. In
    Project view
, select the variable that contains the property that you want to set through the dynamic link.
  2. Drag the node or variable to either a:
    • Property. Drag the node to the value of the property.
The reference to the node or variable appears in the property.
    • Graphic object. Drag the variable to a graphic object in the editor.
Dragging the node creates a dynamic link to the most suitable property of the graphical object. For example, drag a variable to a
      TextBox
to create a link to the
      Text
      property and display the value.
The reference to the selected node or variable appears in the property. Before the property, appears to indicate that the property contains a dynamic link.
TIP: If the dynamic link does not resolve at design time, appears before the dynamic link. A dynamic link to a Windows alias may resolve at runtime. If the dynamic link is broken because the linked attribute no longer exists or has been moved, appears before the link.
