Runtime communication errors for UI controls

UI controls

are outlined in red at runtime when the graphic element cannot write or display a tag value.
The red outline appears when there is not a valid programmable or physical connection to the controller, or a tag in a dynamic link does not exist in the controller.The red outline indicates that the graphic element is in error.
A UI control in error is outlined in red and may display a red X. An example text box in error at runtime may appear as:
For controls that contain additional content such as navigation elements, only the invalid tag is outlined in red:
For graphic elements that display this error, resolve the connection to the controller and verify that the tag exists in the controller.
NOTE: When a tag write failure occurs, for example when writing to a safety tag, the expected error message appears briefly on all controls that reference the tag. The error appears on labels instead of only controls that attempt to write to the tag.
