Communication diagnostics for DeviceNet

The communication diagnostics page for DeviceNet is available from the 2080-DNET20 plug-in module configuration page when the plug-in module is of revision 2.
When the controller is connected, the
Diagnose
button is available. When
FactoryTalk Design Workbench
is in online mode, the diagnostics page is enabled and the values are updated from the controller.
TIP: If the
Micro800
controller is password-protected, enter the password to view
Communication Diagnostics
for DeviceNet.
The following table lists the statistics monitored and displayed in real time when diagnosing serial communication and the serial port using the DeviceNet driver.

Description
Slot number
Displays the slot where the 2080-DNET20 plug-in module is attached to the L20E, L50E, or L70E controller.
Slot numbers: from 1 through 5.
Status
Displays the status of the scanner.
The status is read-only. For more information, see DeviceNet scanner status codes.
Mode
Displays the scanner mode: idle or running.
Baud rate
Displays the baud rate of the scanner.
Values are:
  • 125 Kb
  • 250 Kb
  • 500 Kb
Address
Displays the scan address that is read from the device.
Auto-scan
Displays the status of auto-scan as enabled or disabled.
Nodes in Scan List
Displays the enabled nodes on the network. Up to 20 nodes can be enabled.
Node states are:
  • Scanner
  • Connected
  • Fault
  • Not configured
  • Out of range
