Assign Role

FactoryTalk Data Mosaix provides a set of predefined roles that enable members to perform tasks based on their assigned roles. For example, a member who is a project administrator can modify roles for other members. A project admin can allow members to perform certain functions or limit members from doing classified actions.
  1. On the Management Console, select the
    Manage Access
    tab.
    Member Listing
  2. In the
    Actions
    column, click the [Add] icon next to the member for whom you want to assign roles.
    If all the roles are already assigned to the member, the [Add] icon is disabled. If there are some roles unassigned to the member, the [Add] icon is enabled.
    The
    Add Roles
    screen displays. This screen displays a list of roles that you can assign.

    NOTE: The existing roles assigned are not displayed here. You can view the existing roles in the
    Roles
    column under Member Listing.
  3. Select the checkbox adjacent to the role name to assign the role.
    You can select multiple roles by selecting the required checkboxes. To assign all the available roles, select the [Select all] checkbox.
  4. Click [Add].
    The Member Listing displays. Under Member Listing, you can view the assigned roles in the
    Roles
    column.
