Configure security for commands
Add the appropriate users or user groups to the security setting to allow only specified users to issue commands for batches, equipment, and prompts.
FactoryTalk Batch View
security settings are under the following categories: - Command Batch
- Command Equipment
- Command Prompts
- Confirmation Authorization
- Open theand log on to the appropriateFactoryTalkAdministration ConsoleFactoryTalk Directory.
- ExpandSystem > Policies > Product Policies > Batch > BatchView & ActiveX.
- Right-clickBatch View Serverand then selectProperties.
- In theBatch View Server Propertieswindow, select the product policy setting to configure and then select the corresponding browse button.
- (optional) In theConfigure Securable Actiondialog box:
- Remove a user or group by selecting it and then selectingRemove.
- Allow or deny a user or group access to the feature by selecting or clearing the corresponding check box and then selectingOK.
- Add a user account or user group by selectingAdd. This option displays theSelect User and Computerdialog box.
- (optional) In theSelect User and Computerdialog box:
- Select a user, user group, computer, or computer group and then selectOK.
- SelectCreate Newto create and then add a new user, user group, computer, or computer group, then selectOK.
- SelectOKto close theBatch View Server Propertiesdialog box.
