Project file equipment phase changes

If the phases in
FactoryTalk Batch Equipment Editor
are changed and the corresponding equipment phases in the
Logix Designer
project need to be updated, synchronize the area model with the project file to detect and make the appropriate changes to the phases.
For example, if a parameter or report changes on the phase class that a phase was created from in
FactoryTalk Batch
, apply the change to the corresponding equipment phases in the
Logix Designer
project.
However, do not attempt to delete an equipment phase from the project file by synchronizing the area model with the project. If you deleted a phase from the area model in
FactoryTalk Batch Equipment Editor
, you should also manually delete the corresponding equipment phase from the project in
Logix Designer
.
Synchronization can transfer these types of changes from the area model phase in
FactoryTalk Batch Equipment Editor
to the corresponding equipment phase in your
Logix Designer
project:
  • Phase name in area model
  • Equipment ID
  • Addition, deletion, or modification of parameters on the phase class that the phase is associated with
  • Addition, deletion, or modification of reports on the phase that the phase is associated with
  • Enabling, disabling, or changing the parameter or report limit tags on the phase
  • Enabling or disabling Control Strategy or Material Based Recipe functionality for the phase class that the phase is associated with
    TIP:
Since synchronization matching is based on matching the
    Controller Program Name
property in the area model with the
    Equipment Phase Name
property in the Logix Designer project, changing either name will create a mismatch.
This mismatch will appear to the synchronization logic as both a new phase in the area model and a new equipment phase in the Logix Designer project.
During the synchronization process, you will have the option to resolve the mismatch by creating a new phase in the area model, creating a new equipment phase in the Logix Designer project, creating both new phases, or skipping synchronization of those items and resolving the name mismatch by ensuring that the
    Controller Program Name
in the area model and the
    Equipment Phase Name
in the Logix Designer project match.
After changes to the area model in
FactoryTalk Batch Equipment Editor
are made, transfer these changes to the equipment phases in the
Logix Designer
project.
