Enable a grace period
Use the
Allow Grace Period
option on the Batch Service Manager
dialog box to
start the FactoryTalk Batch
Server in the event that it cannot find a valid activation license. The grace period is
seven days.To enable a grace period:
- SelectStart > Rockwell Software >Batch Service Manager. TheBatch Service Manageropens.
- SelectSelect Computer. TheSelect Computerdialog box opens.
- In theEnter the object name to selectarea, enter the computer name where the batch server is installed (or click theAdvancedbutton to search for a computer).
- SelectOKto close theSelect Computerdialog box.
- From theServicelist, selectFactoryTalk BatchServer.
- SelectAllow Grace Periodenable grace period activation.
- SelectStart/Continueto start the service. Wait for the status to change to RUNNING.TheFactoryTalk BatchServer searches for valid activations first. If the appropriate activation is not found, the server will start under a grace period activation. TheFactoryTalk BatchServer checks for valid activation licenses every four hours until it either finds one or the grace period expires.
- SelectClose. TheBatch Service Managerdialog box closes.
