Windows event log entries
FactoryTalk Event Archiver
creates Windows event log entries during startup, run time, and shutdown.
Log entries contain:
Name | Description |
---|---|
Date | Date that the event occurred |
Time | Time that the event occurred |
Type | Type of event, such as Information or Error |
User | Configured domain user |
Computer | Computer on which FactoryTalk Event Archiver runs |
Source | BATCHARC.log file |
Category | Category of the event |
Event ID | ID of the event |
Description | Description of the event |
Data | File name and line number from the FactoryTalk Event Archiver source code that generated the entry |

Start | 1002 | FactoryTalk Event Archiver Process started successfully in non-incremental mode |

Start | 1004 | FactoryTalk Event Archiver failed to open the BATCHARC.LOG file |
Start | 1005 | Service handler not installed |
Start | 1006 | Bad Service Request |
Start | 3001 | FactoryTalk Event Archiver Service paused |
Start | 3002 | FactoryTalk Event Archiver Service continuing |
Shutdown | 4001 | FactoryTalk Event Archiver Service shutting down |
Setup | 5001 | FactoryTalk Event Archiver setup; new connect string = <new string> |
