About getting a file or binder

The get operation allows you to get the necessary version of a file or binder. For example, if you want to copy rungs from another ladder program that has been checked out by another user, you can retrieve the file by the get operation, copy the rungs, and then paste them into your file. Getting a file eliminates accidental changes to the master file. The date and time that a file is retrieved appear in the file history.
