Assumptions
This guide does not
cover the installation of the other FactoryTalk Analytics application.
For Windows installations the scripts will
need to manage the Windows service for Security Provider and must
run from CMD.EXE session with either admin or elevated privileges.
IMPORTANT:
If
the PostgreSQL database is already created in postgres machine then
skip this step.
The PostgreSQL database is required for Security
Provider. If the database server is running on a different host
machine than Security Provider, the PostgreSQL Command Line Tools
must be installed on the same machine as the Security Provider.
The setup scripts use the PSQL command for some database and server setup.
Additionally for new installations the guide
assumes that PostgreSQL has been installed and the user has an admin
account to create new user and a new database.
