This list identifies the known anomalies in the
FactoryTalk Activation Manager
 version 4.06.00. Use the identification information in parentheses to track the anomaly in future releases or for reference when receiving assistance from Customer Support with a related issue.
  • Chinese or French characters can cause FlexNet to stop (1274158)
    When the name of the server computer contains Chinese characters or a French special letter, such as é, the FTA server state reports
    FlexNet stopped
    .
    To work around this issue, change the name of the server computer so that it does not contain Chinese characters or a French special character.
  • Error code LicenseRequestFileNeeded appears when activating a CodeMeter license type as a user with special characters (such as é) in their username. (2083170)
    This anomaly first identified in
    FactoryTalk Activation Manager
     version 4.06.13.
    To work around this issue, either:
    • Activate the license as a Flexera license type
    • Activate a CodeMeter license type using a Windows user that does not have special characters in their username.
