Network view (tap devices)

Use the
Network
 view to view network information for the port:
  • View whether the device is operating in a Linear/Star or Device-Level Ring (DLR) network.
  • View the current status of the network.
  • Enable the device to be a supervisor on the network.
  • Select
    Advanced
     to configure advanced network properties.
  • If the topology is (DLR) network, you can also:
    • View the address and precedence of the active ring supervisor.
    • View the current status of the supervisor.
    • View the number of ring faults, the status of the ring fault, and clear the rapid fault or restore cycle fault.
    • Reset the ring fault count to zero.
    • Verify the last node fault location.
  • View the buffer utilization for the ports.
This information is only available when online and there is no communication error in the device profile. Some settings are only available when the device is operating in a DLR network.
