Spring is in the air, and with it brings…. Wait. Nope. I’m not going to do it. It annoys me when lazy writers use cliché tropes about spring bringing renewal and a breath of fresh air. We can take steps forward anytime; we don’t need a new season or a special occasion.
In fact, know Rockwell Automation keeps evolving as your needs do, including acquisitions and collaborations to deliver new or enhanced technology and services, and adding some new company leaders.
One of those leaders is Gina Ayala Claxton, president of the Americas Region. I talked with her for an episode of our “Automation Chat” podcast, and her energy and enthusiasm were contagious. Listen on your favorite podcast app or on the web, or watch our conversation on YouTube.
One of her goals is to simplify the organization for and keep the focus on customers. And, she’s a passionate advocate of diversity and inclusion. In my chat with her, she provided a glimpse of how these two factors are part of her strategy to help customers and support Rockwell Automation eminence.
“We need to be able to bring new ideas, and that comes from having a diverse workforce,” she explained. “We also have to be more bold, willing to take some risks. We have to be willing to disrupt ourselves, so that we're able to dive in and say, ‘How can I solve this problem with you, the customer?’”
You’ll get to know her better starting in this edition of The Journal, because Gina has a new column, “The Americas & You,” about what her Americas Region team is doing. Check it out.
I hope you enjoy the insights into this Rockwell Automation leader. Until next time….
