The expression “doing well by doing good,” has become a common refrain among socially conscious businesses, and now there is also a growing body of research that shows companies with socially responsible business practices are more profitable. Increasingly, businesses are focusing on supplier diversity, the practice drawing from a diverse supplier base, including small businesses owned by women and people of color. This practice creates a more innovative, forward-thinking, and resilient supplier mix, and also adds value to the bottom line.

In this video, Christopher Boles, Manager of Supplier Diversity; José Silva, Director of Global Procurement, Supplier Diversity and Sustainability – Abbott; and Shaun Jones, Director of Supplier Diversity - Walgreens discuss the economic impacts of supplier diversity and share how they’ve successfully enhanced supplier diversity.
