Delete a connection to a program parameter

Delete a connection to a program parameter to stop passing data between the parameter and the program.
Use an offline project to delete parameter connections.
TIP: You cannot delete parameter connections in an online project.
  1. To delete a connection to a program parameter
  2. In the explorer bar, select
    System
     System Icon,
    Execution
     Execution Icon, or
    Library
     Library icon.
  3. Select the element with a connection to delete.
    • In
      System
      , select a program within a Smart Object.
    • In
      Execution
      , select a program within a controller application.
    • In
      Library
      , select a program within a Smart Object.
  4. In the explorer title bar, select
    View tags and parameters
     Tags Icon or right-click the element and select
    Tags and parameters
    .
  5. In the
    Tag Editor
    , locate the desired parameter and
    Connections
     column.
  6. In
    Connections
    , select
    Browse
    .
  7. In
    Connection Configuration
    , select the connection to delete.
  8. Right-click the left column.
  9. From the menu, select
    Delete
    .
