Connection Configuration grid

Use the Connection Configuration grid to manage parameter connections, including adding, viewing, editing, and deleting connections.
Use the Connection Configuration grid to add, view, edit, and delete parameter connections.
TIP: To open the
Connection Configuration
dialog, do one of the following:
  • In the Tag Editor
    Connection
    column, select the connection to view. Then select
    Browse
    Browse icon.
  • In the
    Tag Properties
    dialog, select
    Open Parameter Connections
    .
Use the mouse or keyboard to navigate the
Connection Configuration
grid.

Description
Connection
The connection endpoint.
To add or edit a connection in the
Connection
column:
  • Enter the exact name of the desired endpoint and select the name when it appears.
  • Select Down Caret icon to launch the
    Data Item Browser
    and select the desired endpoint.

Select to launch the
Data Item Browser
, which displays a list of available endpoints for connections.
Usage
The usage type of the connection endpoint (LOCAL, INPUT, OUTPUT, or INOUT). Autopopulated.
IMPORTANT: A single part (member, element, or bit) of a program’s Input parameter cannot have multiple connections.
Data Type
The endpoint data type, such as BOOL, SINT, INT, DINT, or REAL. Autopopulated.
Description
The purpose of, or latest change to, the item. Autopopulated if available.
The description, if any, for each endpoint tag or structure, array, or bit member.
