Global leaders are gathering this week in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting on May 22-26. The Davos 2022 meeting brings together over 2,000 leaders and experts from around the world. Participants include the chief executives and chairs of WEF partner and member companies, political leaders and heads of international organizations, civil society representatives, academic experts, youth leaders and key figures from the worlds of art, culture, science and technology.
Among globally significant topics on the agenda is building a better future for work and harnessing the technologies of the Fifth Industrial Revolution. Rockwell Automation Chairman and CEO Blake Moret and Flex CEO Revathi Advaithi, co-chairs of WEF’s Advanced Manufacturing Community of CEOs, address this topic in a new blog: Advanced manufacturing: 3 priorities for industry and government leaders.
Moret and Advaithi discuss the growing importance of ESG to drive change, increase productivity, reduce environmental impact, and make the shop floor cleaner and safer for workers. The two leaders offer thoughts on advanced manufacturing’s potential to introduce efficiencies to the manufacturing environment that will help reduce wasted materials, avoid production overruns and mistakes, reduce water and electricity usage and shrink factory footprints, creating shorter, more stable supply chains and simplified flows, emphasizing that the best technologies and solutions put people at the center.
Learn more about what Moret and Advaithi view as the three priorities needed for collaboration between industry and government to cement broader uptake of advanced manufacturing solutions. Read the blog on the Davos 2022 site.
