Industrial Decarbonization

The industrial sector accounts for more than one-third of global greenhouse gas emissions¹. Not only are governments, global consortia, and regulatory agencies pushing for the industrial sector to achieve net zero operations, but consumers are also demanding greater sustainability from the companies from which they purchase. In response, companies are making environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives a top priority, including setting targets and developing plans to achieve Net Zero by 2050 or sooner.

Helping Industrials on their ESG Journey

Rockwell Automation and Dialight, a Rockwell Automation Technology Partner, are committed to helping industrials achieve their net zero goals with solutions that are safer, cost-effective, and scalable. Not only are both organizations setting targets to reduce their own emissions in line with Science Based Targets, we are both offering best-in-class, energy-efficient solutions to help our customers do the same.

Rockwell Automation Enables Energy Management with Context to Production

Rockwell Automation connects the imaginations of people with the potential of technology to expand what is humanly possible, making the world more productive and more sustainable. As the world of data increases, the intersection of digital transformation and sustainability has arrived.

A critical aspect of sustainability is the environmental pillar. From greenhouse gas emissions to water conservation, it is going to take all of us to commit to making the world a more sustainable place. At Rockwell Automation, we have focused on energy, water, and waste as the three areas we believe offer great opportunity for meaningful customer outcomes. We’ve enhanced and expanded our sustainability portfolio with industrial energy management software and services to reduce consumption; smart water applications to improve quality, efficiency, and security for municipal entities and water-intensive industries; and waste management and recycling solutions to enable the circular economy.

Specific to energy, Rockwell Automation offers solutions to help customers manage, report, control, and optimize energy usage in their production processes. With easy-to-understand dashboards, users can visualize consumption at every level – site, area, line, and even machine – and identify areas to improve and optimize. Smart and scalable, the FactoryTalk® Energy Manager platform seamlessly collects and integrates energy management data with production, control, and information systems.

Dialight Empowering Industrials Through Lighting Technology

For over 50 years, Dialight has focused exclusively on environmentally friendly, mercury-free LED lighting technology. We are proud to help our industrial customers improve safety, reduce carbon impact, and save money on the total cost of ownership of their lighting investment. As a company, we are committed to becoming Net Zero by 2040 and are making strides in decarbonizing our own manufacturing processes.

Dialight has a proud heritage of designing best-in-class LED lighting tailored to the unique needs of industrial applications. Our fixtures can withstand harsh environmental conditions and are designed for longevity to reduce the need for costly and burdensome maintenance at high elevations and in hard-to-reach areas. Our long-life products also reduce landfill waste with lifespans up to five times that of traditional lighting technologies and double that of many LED lighting competitors. Our products proudly feature our industry-leading 10-year warranty, which is recognized by the National Lighting Bureau’s Trusted Warranty program.

For more information on how Dialight products can help your business achieve Net Zero while seamlessly integrating with the Rockwell Automation solutions you already have in place, please email info@dialight.com

In 2021, we launched our Ultra-Efficient Vigilant High Bay. At up to 200 lumens per watt, it is the most efficient commercially available heavy industrial high bay on the market and was named EC&M’s 2021 Product of the Year in the Harsh and Hazardous Location Luminaires category.

In addition to high efficiency and utility rebate eligibility, we are among one of the only industrial lighting companies that offers Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) on our products. EPDs are externally verified and registered to transparently communicate information on the environmental impact of the production of the product. This allows customers to buy with confidence, knowing their investment will help achieve environmental mandates and corporate sustainability goals in a measurable way.

From a carbon emissions standpoint, our long-life products emit two-thirds fewer carbon emissions versus legacy lighting technologies and we are constantly innovating to introduce solutions that continuously improve on this aspect.

Upgrading your facility to Dialight lighting will help reduce carbon emissions, dramatically improve

site safety, and provide significant cost savings from both an energy and maintenance standpoint.

Technology Enablement Through Partnership

Dialight is proud to be a Rockwell Automation Technology Partner, and they became the first LED lighting partner in the program.

Unlike legacy lighting technologies, Dialight’s LED lighting products are advanced controls capable, meaning you can save even more on lighting related energy costs by taking advantage of occupancy and daylight harvesting sensors and dimming fixtures when full output is not needed. Dialight’s IntelliLEDTM wireless controls platform seamlessly integrates with existing Rockwell Automation PLCs, allowing you to group, schedule, and control the lighting based on the needs of your facility.

With partners like Dialight, Rockwell Automation is supporting sustainability initiatives across all industrial industries. From a corporate standpoint, Rockwell Automation is committed to enabling sustainable solutions for our customers, incorporating sustainability as a company, and building sustainable communities. Our PartnerNetworkTM is essential to empowering the world to achieve sustainable solutions.
