Pause a trend chart

Pause a trend chart to stop it from scrolling and review the current data. When a trend chart pauses, the trend chart stops scrolling and traces no longer update. There is no time limit for pausing a trend chart. The time range and data is static on a paused trend chart. The trend chart shows only the data at the time the trend chart pauses. Data collection continues in the background.
To pause a trend chart
  1. At the bottom of the trend chart, select
    Pause
     ViewRTFullTrendPause. The trend chart stops scrolling.
  2. To resume updates to the trend chart, select
    Resume
     ViewRTFullTrendResumeButton . The trend chart begins scrolling again time. The trend chart starts scrolling once the current time span fills with data.

    • To use the HMI device keypad or an external keyboard to press a button on the trend chart, tab to the button and press
      Enter
      .
    • Navigation to a different screen automatically resumes updates to the trend chart. If navigation opens a different screen and then returns to the screen containing a paused trend chart, the trend chart resumes updates.
    • The HMI Designer determines if a button appears to interact with the trend chart on the HMI device.
