Configure the screen saver

The screen saver extends the life of the HMI device screen by dimming the brightness level when activity is not sensed for a specified amount of time. When the screen saver activates, the HMI device screen displays a moving image at a reduced brightness level. When activity is sensed, the screen saver deactivates and the screen brightness returns to the normal level.
To configure the screen saver
  1. On the HMI device or in the
    System Banner
    , select
    Navigation
    Icon: NavigationMenuButton and then select
    Settings
    .
  2. Select
    Display
    . The Display popup opens.
  3. To enable the screen saver, select
    Turn on Screen Saver
    .
  4. To configure the screen saver, change the following settings:
    • Wait.
       To change the delay before the screen saver appears, select
      Wait
      and enter the number of minutes. The default is 10 minutes.
    • Brightness.
       To set the brightness of the screen saver, in the bottom
      Brightness
      box enter the number using the virtual numeric keypad or an external keyboard. The default is 10. 100 is the brightest.
  5. Select
    Close
    Close button in Designer.
