Unable to connect to HMI device at its IP address

Possible cause and solution:
  • The HMI device is not powered on or connected to the network.
    Verify the HMI device is a PanelView 5000 HMI device.
  • The HMI device at address <x> is not a PanelView 5000 HMI device.
    Verify the HMI device is a PanelView 5000 HMI device.
  • The selected HMI device is from the recently accessed HMI device path list, but the HMI device is no longer on the network for download.
    From the
    HMI Device Configuration
    screen on the HMI device, verify an IP address is assigned to the HMI device.
  • The selected HMI device is a previous HMI device selected from the location list, and the HMI device is no longer on the network for upload.
    Verify the IP address entered in the
    HMI Device Path
    box on the
    Download and Upload
    dialog boxes is correct. Select a previous path in the
    Location
    box on the
    Application
    tab of the project properties.
