Add traces to a trend chart

To display data in a trend chart, add up to eight traces to the trend chart in
View Designer
. Associate each trace with a tag, user-defined property, or a property of a graphic element. The trace displays the values of the tag on the trend chart on the HMI device. Traces automatically display data from a data log for the specified tag.
To add traces to a trend chart
  1. Select the trend chart on the screen.
  2. In the
    Properties
    window, select the
    Traces
    tab.
  3. Select
    Add Trace
    . A
    Trace
    card appears.
  4. In the
    Value
    box, select
    Browse
     ST5K_Project_Properties_Browse_button.jpg to navigate to and select the tag, or enter the exact tag name and format.
    TIP:
    Do not select a STRING or LINT data type. Trend charts do not support these data types. Traces with a STRING or LINT data type display an error.
