Function block	Description
MSG_CIPGENERIC (common industrial protocol generic message)	Sends a CIP generic explicit message.
MSG_CIPSYMBOLIC (common industrial protocol symbolic message)	Sends a CIP symbolic explicit message.
MSG_MODBUS (Modbus message)	Sends a Modbus message.
MSG_MODBUS2 (MODBUS/TCP message)	Sends a MODBUS/TCP message over an Ethernet Channel.
MSG_PCCC (programmable controller communication commands message)	Sends a PCCC message over an Ethernet channel or a serial port.
