Real-Time Clock configuration page
Use the
Real-Time Clock
configuration page to do the following actions:- View the date and time settings of the controller.
- OpenSet date and timeto synchronize the date and time settings with the clock on your personal computer or manually set the time and date.
The
Real-Time Clock
configuration page is available for Micro810
, L20E, L50E, and L70E controllers. Open the Set date and time
page by selecting Real-Time Clock
in the Controller
tree.To view the date and time settings, the controller must be online.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Battery | Displays the battery status in the real-time clock. The read-only values are as follows:

Date | Displays the date that is set for the real-time clock.
|
Time | Displays the time that is set for the real-time clock.
|
Set date and time | Opens the Set date and time dialog to synchronize the date and time settings with the clock on your personal computer or manually set the time and date.The dialog is available when the controller is in Remote program mode. |
Enable changing the real-time clock in the Run mode | Determines whether to turn on or turn off the real-time clock change when the controller is in Run mode.The checkbox is cleared by default. |
Enable firmware real-time clock | Determines whether to enable the firmware real-time clock. If enabled, the firmware real-time clock will allow the date and time to continue to update, but at a reduced accuracy, when the hardware real-time clock is not present, such as when the 2080-MEMBAK-RTC2 or 2080-SDMEMRTC-SC plug-in is removed. If the hardware real-time clock becomes available, then the firmware real-time clock is no longer used. The checkbox is cleared by default. It does not apply to L20E controllers. |
Adjust for daylight saving time (+01:00) | Adjusts the real-time clock one hour forward during summer months. The checkbox is cleared by default and is available when connected to the controller. The option applies to L20E, L50E, and L70E controllers for version 22.00 or 23.00 controller projects. |
