Synchronize Internet Protocol settings

Use the
Ethernet
 configuration page to synchronize the settings in the controller with the Internet Protocol (IP) settings in the
FactoryTalk Design Workbench
 project.
The IP settings in
FactoryTalk Design Workbench
 are compared to the settings in the controller when the controller is connected and in
Program
mode. If the settings do not match, a message will show, telling that the settings are different.
Two options are provided to synchronize the IP settings:
  • Download the settings from
    FactoryTalk Design Workbench
     to the controller.
  • Upload the settings from the controller to
    FactoryTalk Design Workbench
    .
The two options are not available when:
  • The controller is offline.
  • The controller is in
    Run
     mode.
  • The IP settings in the controller and
    FactoryTalk Design Workbench
     are the same.
Prerequisites
  • The controller is in
    Remote program
     mode.
  • The IP settings in the controller and
    FactoryTalk Design Workbench
     are the different.
To synchronize Internet Protocol settings
  1. In
    Project Organizer
    , double-click the controller to open the controller application workspace.
  2. In the
    Controller
     tree, select
    Ethernet
    .
  3. On the
    Ethernet
     configuration page, select one of the following:
    • Download to controller
    • Upload from controller
