Data Log configuration page

The
Data Log
configuration page is available for the following controllers:
  • L20E
  • L50E
  • L70E
A data log supports up to 10 data sets and each data sets supports up to 128 variables. Use the
Data Log
configuration page to:
  • Add data sets to the controller configuration.
  • Remove data sets from the controller configuration.
  • Import data sets to or export data sets from an M8A file.
  • Open the variable selector to add variables to a data set.
  • Move a data set's variables up and down in the variable list.
Data log configuration settings
Setting
Description
Data set list
Lists the data sets in the project.
The data set names are read-only. Select or clear the
DEST<x>
checkbox to add the data set to or delete the data set from the project.
Import
Opens
Import data log
to import data sets from an M8A file.
Import
is available when the controller is offline.
Export
Opens
Export data log
to export data sets to an M8A file.
Export
is available when the following conditions are met:
  • The controller is offline.
  • One or more data sets are added to the controller.
Data log details
Specifies the following information of the data set:
  • Name
    : The data set name. It is read-only.
  • Separator
    : The separator that separates cells in a data set file.
  • Description
    : The additional information about the data set.
The dialog is available by selecting Settings icon beside a selected data set.
Manage data logs
Opens the
<controller-name>: Manage data log
page to do the following actions:
  • Fetch data logs for a specified time range from the memory card.
  • Remove data logs for a specified time range from the memory card.
  • Export data log files for a specified time range from the controller to the local drive.
