Delete a variable

Use the variable grid to delete a variable from the global or local variable grid instance.
After deleting a variable, it is removed from the grid but remains as an undefined variable in the program. Variables that appear dimmed, such as system and I/O variables, are read-only and cannot be deleted.
To delete a variable
  1. Open the global or local variable grid.
  2. In the variable grid, select one or more variables.
  3. Delete the selected variables by doing one of the following:
    • Right-click the row header of any selected variable, and then select
      Delete
      .
    • Select the
      Delete
      key.
  4. From the menu bar, select
    File
    Save
    .
