Add a variable

Use the variable grid to:
  • Create variables.
  • Define values into a program.
  • View the variable parameters of functions or function blocks.
Variable names must be unique within and across the
Name
 and
Alias
 columns.
To add a variable
  1. In
    Project Organizer
    , open the global or local variable grid.
  2. At the bottom of the gird, do one of the following:
    • Right-click the empty row, and then select
      Add variable
      .
    • Double-click
      New
      , enter a name for the variable, and then select
      Enter
      .
  3. Specify the values for other variable parameters.
