Pair a PTO axis and motion feedback axis

Pair an embedded PTO axis with a feedback axis to allow the feedback axis to:
  • Use the paired PTO axis's settings.
  • Serve as feedback for the existing paired PTO axis.
After you pair a PTO axis and a motion feedback axis, the settings for the motion feedback axis become read-only.
Prerequisites
  • Add a 2080-MOT-HSC to the controller project.
  • Configure an embedded PTO axis.
To pair a PTO axis and motion feedback axis
  1. In
    Project Organizer
    , go to
    I/O Configurations
    Plug-in
    .
  2. Open the
    2080-MOT-HSC
     page by doing one of the following:
    • Double-click
      2080-MOT-HSC
      .
    • Select
      2080-MOT-HSC
      , and then select the
      Enter
      key.
  3. On the 2080-MOT-HSC page, select
    Configuration
    .
  4. From the
    Enable plug-in with
     list, select
    Feedback axis
    .
    Under
    Configuration
    , the
    Feedback Axis
     node is created.
  5. On the
    2080-MOT-HSC
     page, select
    Feedback Axis
    .
  6. On the FBAxis
    <x>
     - General configuration page    , from the
    Pair with
     list, select an axis.
