2085-OF4 channel configuration page
After adding a 2085-OF4 expansion module, four
Channel <x>
nodes are created on the 2085-OF4
page. Select Channel <x>
to view and configure the channel settings.Setting | Description |

Enable channel | Turns the channel on or off. When the channel is turned on, the settings on the Channel <x> page are available.The channel is turned off by default. |
Output range | Specifies the voltage or current input ranges for the channel. Options are:
The default option is 4 mA to 20 mA . |
Data format | Specifies the data format for the channel. Each data format selection has its assigned default values. When your selection changes, the parameters on the Channel <x> page update to the default values. Options are:
The default option is Engineering units . |
High clamp | Turns on or turns off high clamp and specifies the high clamp value when turned on. High clamp is turned off by default. To turn on high clamp and specify the value, select the checkbox beside the default high clamp value, and then change the value as needed. You must specify a high clamp value that is larger than the low clamp value. The default high clamp value is 20.000. It varies with the Output range and Data format you selected. |
Over range alarm trigger - High clamp value | Turns on or turns off the over range alarm trigger, which triggers an alarm when the high clamp value is reached. The alarm trigger is turned off by default. To turn on the alarm trigger, select the High clamp value checkbox. The checkbox is available when high clamp is turned on. |
Over range alarm trigger - Max output value | Turns on or turns off the over range alarm trigger, which triggers an alarm when the maximum output value specified in Output range is reached.The alarm trigger is turned off by default. To turn on the alarm trigger, select the Max output value checkbox. The checkbox is available when high clamp is turned off. |
Low clamp | Turns on or turns off low clamp and specifies the low clamp value when turned on. Low clamp is turned off by default. To turn on low clamp and specify the value, select the checkbox beside the default low clamp value, and then change the value as needed. You must specify a low clamp value that is smaller than the high clamp value. The default low clamp value is 4.000. It varies with the Output range and Data format you specified. |
Under range alarm trigger - Low clamp value | Turns on or turns off the under range alarm trigger, which triggers an alarm when the low clamp value is reached. The alarm trigger is turned off by default. To turn on the alarm trigger, select the Low clamp value checkbox. The checkbox is available when low clamp is turned on. |
Under range alarm trigger - Min output value | Turns on or turns off the under range alarm trigger, which triggers an alarm when the minimum output value specified in Output range is reached.The alarm trigger is turned off by default. To turn on the alarm trigger, select the Min output value checkbox. The checkbox is available when high clamp is turned off. |
Latch over and under alarm | Turns latching over and under alarm on or off. A latch alarm remains active even when the output returns to a normal state. The latched alarm is cleared through the Control Word _IO_Xx_CO_00 . |
