2085-IM8 expansion module

2085-IM8 is an 8-point input expansion module. After adding a 2085-IM8 expansion module:
  • Eight global variables are created in the controller project.
  • In
    Project Organizer
    , under
    Expansion
    , a
    2085-IM8
     node is created. Double-clicking the
    2085-IM8
     node opens the
    2085-IM8
     configuration pages, including:
    • Overview
      : Displays the device image, catalog number, revision, product type, and slot number. Selecting
      Device definition
      opens a dialog to change the slot and revision, and configure whether to fault the controller when the expansion module is absent.
    • Variable
      : Lists the added variables with variable names and data types.
