Copy and paste with Paste Special

When configuring a motion group, you can copy an AXIS_CIP_DRIVE and associate a copy of the axis to one or multiple modules. This enables creating multiple axes with common configuration.
IMPORTANT:
Paste Special is valid when:
  • The module is a CIP Motion Device.
  • The module is not a CIP Motion Safety Track System
  • The module/channel supports the Axis Configuration that is set by the clipboard.
  • The module/channel is not currently associated with another axis.
  • The axis is not managed. When an axis is associated to a robot, it might be managed, meaning some parameters are not configurable depending on the robot type. Refer to the specific robot documentation for a list of configurable parameters.
To copy and paste a motion axis using Paste Special:
  1. In the
    Controller Organizer
    , right-click the CIP axis and select
    Copy
    .
  2. Right-click the motion group, the ungrouped axes folder, or a CIP motion module and select
    Paste Special
    .
  3. From
    Module Selection
    , select the modules/channels to paste the axis.
    TIP:
    Axes for iTrak modules can only be copy-pasted onto iTrak modules.
  4. Select
    OK
    .
