FactoryTalk Optix Studio Runtime entitlement upgrade on Windows and Ubuntu 22.04 devices

To upgrade a FactoryTalk Optix Studio Runtime entitlement, purchase the features belonging to the new entitlement.
NOTE: You can upgrade perpetual entitlements only.
NOTE: This procedure does not apply to OptixPanels™.
To upgrade the FactoryTalk Optix Studio Runtime entitlement:
  1. Determine the new entitlement package size that you need.
    NOTE:
    See Determine the Runtime Tools entitlement required for your application to learn how to assess the entitlement package size according to your needs.
  2. To proceed with the FactoryTalk Optix Studio Runtime Tools entitlement upgrade activation:
    1. For Windows devices see Activate a Runtime entitlement on Windows devices and related subsections.
    2. For Ubuntu 22.04 devices see Activate a Runtime entitlement on Ubuntu 22.04 devices and related subsections.
NOTE: The available upgrade entitlement packages are:
  • XS > S, XS > M, XS > L, XS > XL, XS > Unlimited (5)
  • S > M, S > L, S > XL, S > Unlimited (4)
  • M > L, M > XL, M > Unlimited (3)
  • L > XL, L > Unlimited (2)
  • XL > Unlimited (1)
