April 2026 Release
April 2026
The April 2026 release of FactoryTalk Hub contains the following improvements:
- Future-dated additive entitlements are assigned a pending status until their effective date, allowing them to be deallocated if necessary.
- Administrators receive email notifications when a user requests access to their organization, sub-organization, or application.
- Users who request access receive email notifications when their request is approved or declined.
- Application administrators who are not organization or sub-organization administrators can access theApprove Usersfunctionality from the left navigation menu.
Previous Releases
January 2026
The January 2026 release of FactoryTalk Hub contains the following improvements:
- Options to create and manage sub-organizations under your current organizations were added to support your enterprise hierarchy and customers. The structure supports two levels: a parent organization and children sub-organizations.
- The left menu and breadcrumb were adjusted to show sub-organizations when a parent organization is selected and the parent organization when a sub-organization is selected.
- Users, invitations, and permissions can be managed for parent organizations and sub-organizations independently. Permissions on parent organizations are applied to child sub-organizations.
- Sub-organizations can be transferred to a different parent organization.
- Parent organizations can be converted to sub-organizations and the other way round, allowing full organizational hierarchy management.
September 2025
The September 2025 release of FactoryTalk Hub contains the following improvements:
- The organizations switcher was removed from the toolbar.
- The Organizations page was created to select, join, and create organizations.
- Archived organizations can now be restored by administrators at any time from the Organizations page.
- The left menu was restructured and divided into User and Organization sections.
- An option to leave an organization was added.
- An option for owners to transfer organizations and services ownership was added.
- An option to request access to a service was added.
- The Edit Organization page was renamed to Settings and allows administrators to add multiple email domains to the organization.
June 2025
The June 2025 release of FactoryTalk Hub contains the following improvements:
- A new dashboard design, organized by sections according to available access to the apps.
- Service administrators can now manage users who have access to the service.
- The expiration time for invitations is extended to 5 days.
- Entitlement improvements:
- New allocation rules for platform entitlements, allowing the replacement of previously allocated entitlements with time overlapping.
- New de-allocation option for "Pending" platform entitlements (not yet effective).
- New allocation rules for Add-On entitlements requiring that the prerequisite platform entitlement has to be already effective.
- Visual improvements to Entitlements and Notifications screens.
- Removal of Batch Performance Analytics app.
April 2025
The April 2025 release of FactoryTalk Hub contains the following improvements:
- A new Archive Organization option for organization administrators. See Archive Organization.
- The Invite Users and Manage Org Invites screens are now contained in a single screen called Send Invites. See Send Invites.
- The visibility settings for organizations in the Create Organization and Edit Organizations screens have been improved to show or hide organizations available to join from the public list. See Create an organization or Edit Organization
- The invite Code has been replaced with a Join link for organizations.
- The permission to allocate entitlements and trials has been restricted to only the organization's administrators and owner.
January 2025
The January 2025 Release of FactoryTalk Hub contains the following improvements:
- Introduced a new sign in page with global Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Removed Reset MFA functionality and specific MFA for FactoryTalk Optix and FactoryTalk Remote Access.
- Improved visualization of perpetual entitlements.
- Improved invitations management.
- Simplified and improved email for invitations.
- Added new logos for application tiles in the home page.
December 2024
The December 2024 Release of FactoryTalk Hub contains the following improvements:
- Improved error messaging and better performance.
- Improved entitlement management.
- Added perpetual entitlements feature. Perpetual entitlements are meant to be applied once and last forever. They are useful in cases such as critical operations where you cannot have an entitlement expire.
- Sales led trials have been added to this release allowing a Rockwell representative to give you trial periods to try our offerings. To use this feature, we added a tab to view and manage trial subscriptions.
Errors which had been observed in previous versions have been corrected in this release.
With this release, FactoryTalk Edge Manager is retired.
September 2024

Usability Enhancements
- Enabled pagination in theJoining an Organizationgrid.

Corrected Anomaly
The following anomaly has been corrected in this release.

Tour
has been added to the FactoryTalk Hub Help menu. This link takes you to a
demonstration of how to sign in and get started with FactoryTalk Hub and can be shared
with users in your organization who are unfamiliar with FactoryTalk Hub. Getting Started with FactoryTalk Hub (storylane.io)Sorting and Filtering
has been added to the Manage Organization Invites table. You
can sort in alphabetical order or by date by selecting the up or down arrow next to the
name of the column, for example, select the up arrow next to Email ID to sort the column
by the first letter of the email address starting with the letter a. You have access to
more sophisticated filters by selecting the menu icon
at the right of each column
heading.The
Manage User Access
table now appears sorted alphabetically by User when you
open it from the FactoryTalk Hub menu. The sorting and filtering options that are added to
the Manage Organization Invites table are also available in the Manage User Access
table.Entitlements View
indicator changes. When new entitlements are added to the View
Entitlements screen, they are now indicated with a blue dot to the left of the entitlement
name to make it easier to find which entitlement was added.The
Billing Admin
role has been removed. All the users with that role now will be
assigned the Contributor role automatically.The

at the top-right side of the FactoryTalk Hub screen now
shows the organization logo for the selected organization if a logo has been assigned to
that organization. Show the organization logo in the organization switcher for the
selected org. If the selected organization has a logo image assigned to it, it is now
shown next to the organization name in the organization switcher after the organization is

Notifications Grid Sorting
- the columns for Source, Description, and Received can now be sorted and filtered.Purchase Entitlements

- on the entitlements screen, the Contract Number column in both grids now allows sorting and filtering.View Entitlements screen
- the View Entitlements option in the main menu is now available to all users, including users who have not yet joined or created an organization and users that only have service level access. Expiration of Universal credits
- After a Universal Credits Entitlement is allocated to an organization, no more credits can be consumed from that allocation when it expires. Any remaining unused credits are removed from the organization balance. Universal credits are consumed in reverse order of expiration date. Therefore, the credits are consumed first from the entitlement that is nearest its expiration. If two or more entitlements are scheduled to expire on the same day, no order preference is given.
