The Rockwell Automation manufacturing facility in Twinsburg, Ohio, earned the 2017 Top Plant award from Plant Engineering magazine. This annual awards program honors outstanding manufacturing facilities in North America.
The award was presented at the Engineering Awards in Manufacturing event on April 16, 2018, in Chicago. Tanya Chambers, production manager for the Twinsburg plant, accepted the award and gave a brief presentation about our Connected Enterprise journey. She cited the combination of metrics and culture as key factors in what makes Twinsburg a “Top Plant.”
The Twinsburg manufacturing plant has been in operation since 1979. This plant manufactures products such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electronic operator interfaces, input/output (I/O) devices, and various distributed, on-machine products.
The Top Plant award is featured on the cover of the December 2017 issue of Plant Engineering magazine in the article, “Data-Driven Pioneers”. This story highlights our people, products, operations management, and focuses on Lean and advanced technology, key contributors to the success of the plant.
