Restrictions

IMPORTANT: Motion is not supported in high availability systems. Delete motion groups, axes, and coordinate systems when redundancy is enabled.
The additional components are not supported in high availability systems:
  • Event tasks
  • Inhibited tasks
  • License source control
  • Consumed unicast connections. You can use produced unicast connections that remote consumers consume.
  • Safety partner in a redundant chassis
  • Produced safety tags
  • Consumed safety tags
  • OPC UA access
  • Non-concurrent safety connections
  • HMIBC and IOT instructions
  • Match Project to Controller feature
  • Bumpless output connections controlled by IOT instructions
  • Listen Only connections for
    FLEX 5000®
    I/O
  • Listen Only connections for highly integrated HART devices
    There is no ability for another controller to create Listen Only connections or dual-own these type of connections.
  • Legacy communication networks that are connected to the redundant chassis pair:
    ControlNet®
    ,
    DeviceNet®
    , RIO,
    DH+
    .
