Edit exported VD project content

With a text editor, modify property values of exported Screens, Popups and Add-On Graphics in .hmi format. You can then import the modified content to
View Designer
.
  1. Go to the exported project directory.
  2. Right-click the .hmi file you want to edit.
  3. From the context menu, select
    Open with...
  4. From the list, select the text editor you want to edit the file with.
  5. Select
    OK
    .
  6. In the text editor, find and edit the property values you want to modify.
    TIP:
    You must follow the .hmi file syntax rules, and use valid parameter names and values to edit the file correctly. Wrongly formatted .hmi files cannot be successfully imported to
    View Designer

    Specific property values must must be entered in appropriate formats, for example enums or hex color codes.
  7. Save your changes.
