Folder Properties .hmi syntax

Each
__folder_properties.hmi.
file contains the properties of an exported folder.
The file follows the structure:
namespace ViewDesigner;
using HMICatalog;
ViewFolder [name] {
<SecurityRoles>
}
For example:
namespace ViewDesigner;
using HMICatalog;
/* HMI Device Type: 12.1" PanelView 5510 2715P-T12WD */ ViewFolder User_Defined_Screens {
SecurityRoles {
Supervisor := RoleAccess.FullAccess;
Restricted := RoleAccess.FullAccess;
Operator := RoleAccess.FullAccess;
Maintenance := RoleAccess.ReadOnly;
Engineer := RoleAccess.NoAccess;
}
}
Security Roles Behavior
  • If a role has a value assigned, in the
    SecurityRoles
    object it displays as an enum, and you can overwrite it with another enum value.
For example:
Engineer := RoleAccess.NoAccess
  • If a role is not listed, it inherits the value the same way it happens in
    View Designer
    .
  • If the
    SecurityRoles
    object does not exist:
    • in new folders, all security role values are inherited the same way it happens in
      View Designer
    • in an existing folder, all security role values are not changed.
      TIP:
      Administrator privileges cannot be modified in
      View Designer
      and also cannot be edited by using the .hmi files.
