Add an event command to safely remove media

Create an event that prepares the SD card that is in the HMI device for safe removal. When triggered, the event prevents the files on the SD card from becoming corrupt or read-only.
Prerequisites
Create an event to trigger the command:
  • Touch press.
    Occurs when touching the item on the screen that is configured with the event.
  • Touch release.
     Occurs when releasing the item on the screen that is configured with the event.
  • Key press.
    Occurs when pressing the specified key.
  • Key release.
    Occurs when releasing the specified key.
  • Button behavior
    Occurs when releasing the button.
  • Project event
     Occurs when the executing condition is met.
To add an event command to safely remove media
  1. Select the graphic element configured with the touch or key event.
  2. In the
    Properties
    pane on the
    Events
    tab, select
    Add Command
    .
  3. Expand the
    HMI Device Configuration
    command category and select
    Safely Remove Media
    .
    TIP:
    To create an indication of when the SD card is safe to remove, use the status from the DataLogStatus system tag.
