Templates

Apply templates to objects and variables to create objects and variables that have similar attributes. This prevents you from having to create each object or variable that is nearly identical. Use templates to create other objects or variables in any project on that same computer. You can create or save an object or variable as a template.
Templates are grouped in libraries. In
FactoryTalk Optix Studio
, there are default libraries of templates that you cannot edit. You can create and edit custom libraries. Each custom library is associated with a certain project and contains all of the related object and variable templates for that project. You can copy custom template libraries to another computer.
To use a custom library on another computer, copy the folder with the name of the desired library from the
C:\Users\
UserName
\Documents\Rockwell Automation\FactoryTalk Optix\Libraries
 location to the same location on another computer.
