Change device properties

Configure properties for a device in the
Device list
 tab. You can create or delete a device and view the tags of the device. You can open both
Properties
for a device and view the profile of a device from
Device list
.
TIP: Any changes made to devices while online will only impact the offline project.
  1. On the explorer bar, select Devices Icon
    Devices
    .
  2. In
    Devices
     explorer, select
    Device list
    .
  3. In the
    Device list
     row for the device, double-click the cell to change:
    • Name
      . Change the name of the device.
    • Description
      . Change the description of the device.
    • Revision
      . Change the minor portion of the Revision after the decimal point.
  4. Press the Enter key or select another cell or item in
    Device list
    . The new device properties are saved automatically.
    TIP: To view the profile of a device, in
    Device list
    , right-click the device and select
    Open device properties
    . The
    Overview
     view opens.
