Use the
Library
explorer to move FactoryTalk Smart Object
definitions from the System
explorer for reuse. Reusing FactoryTalk Smart Object
s improves the modeling for a system or plant. To edit, allocate, and deploy a FactoryTalk Smart Object
, create an instance of the Smart Object in the System
explorer. You can also create a FactoryTalk Smart Object definition, Add-On-Instruction, or User-Defined Data Type in the Library explorer.
TIP:
In the
Library
explorer, you cannot delete elements that have instances that are used in the project.To open the 
Library
explorer, on the explorer bar, select Library
