Water industry professionals can see advanced automation solutions on display at booth 2951 Oct. 1- 3 in New Orleans
MILWAUKEE — Aging infrastructure across the United States underscores the growing need for reliable, safe and secure water systems and facilities. To address this need, Rockwell Automation will showcase smart and connected solutions and services at WEFTEC October 1-3 in New Orleans, to help water-industry professionals create safer, more efficient and sustainable treatment facilities for industrial and municipal use.
By 2027, the U.S. is expected to spend over $72 billion annually for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure and storm water treatment efforts, according to the recent U.S. Municipal Water Infrastructure report.
“Every day, aging and leaking water pipes across the nation give way, wasting a precious resource. Better management of our valuable water resources is essential to meet our communities rapidly growing demand,” said Kelvin Hurdle, water industry manager, Rockwell Automation. “Today, we’re seeing intense interest from municipalities, utilities and industrial users for smart, connected technology solutions that make water processes more efficient. Utilizing analytics and improved monitoring technologies help prevent equipment failures and improve compliance with ever-changing safety and security standards.”
In booth 2951, Rockwell Automation will feature its smart solutions through a simulated digital control room where attendees will have a chance to see the latest release of the PlantPAx distributed control system and advanced production intelligence software that provides real-time visibility into operations. This technology helps empower operators to make more informed decisions quickly and confidently to predict and ultimately help prevent unplanned downtime, reduce energy and optimize processes.
Another display will feature the company’s broad intelligent motor control portfolio and integrated pump monitoring solutions designed to keep pumping stations operating at peak performance throughout their lifecycle.
Co-exhibiting with Rockwell Automation is strategic alliance partner Endress+Hauser. The booth will feature interactive demonstrations and new instrumentation, highlighting the seamless integration and configuration between smart instrumentation and process control technologies.
