Restore factory settings | It restores the router factory settings, including the operating system, software and firmware, Runtime and any domain registrations (identity is deleted). To perform settings reset, turn off the device, press and hold down the reset button with a sharp object and turn on the device. When the Server/USB status indicator is blinking in a sequence of 4 short blinks for at least 15 seconds, release the button. During the factory reset, the Server/USB indicator blinks green and it means that the process is ongoing. Wait until the process is completed. If the router shuts down during this operation, the factory reset process is not completed. Thus, it will restart and continue the reset process until it will be completed. The Server/USB indicator will then turn on and start to blink. When the indicator is no longer blinking, the reset process is complete. RK1x/RM1x routers do not feature any LED signaling during rebooting. |
The duration of the updating procedure may vary from one to five minutes, depending on the router model.
IMPORTANT:
Do not manually switch off the router during the settings reset procedure, to prevent any damage to the same.
Digital I/O
Routers are fitted with 2 digital inputs for external commands connection and 2 digital outputs to report the device status by means of electrical signals.
The table below includes a description of each digital I/O.
Digital I/O | Description |
IN0 | If powered and enabled, this digital input allows for router connection to the server and makes the device appear online on the FTRA Manager Ubiquity Manager . |
IN1 | If powered and enabled, this digital input allows to remotely restart the router by means of a command, as if the router reset button was pressed. The router shall be disconnected from power connection for at least 10 seconds to allow for reset. Once the remote restart command is triggered, the status LED will illuminate accordingly. |
OUT0 | If powered and enabled, this digital output activates when the router successfully authenticates to a domain in FTRA Manager Ubiquity Manager . |
OUT1 | If powered and enabled, this digital output activates when the router is connected to at least one FTRA Manager Ubiquity Manager session. |
