FactoryTalk Hub Menu
The
Hub Portal Menu
is divided into two sections, user and organization. If you
are a new user or you are not assigned to any organization, you only see the user section of the
menu.You must be an owner or administrator of an organization to use the FactoryTalk Hub manager
features.
The user section provides access to the following features:
- Organizations: takes you to the Organizations page.
- Entitlements: only displays in the user section if you are not assigned to any organization. It allows to see the unallocated entitlements and trials but does not allow to allocate anything until selecting, creating or joining an organization.
The organization section appears in the menu when the user is assigned to and selects an
organization.
TIP:
When the organization section is appears,
the
Entitlements
option disappears from the user section and appears
in the organization section as View entitlements
.The organization section contains the following features:
- Applications: takes you to the applications page where you can see all available applications and the applications assigned to you.
- View entitlements: Entitlements add different apps to your organization. The service provided is tied to a contract number and has a defined start date and expiry date. You can see the unallocated entitlements and trials. If you are an owner or the administrator of the organization, you can allocate the entitlements to the organization to provision the services. See Allocate Entitlements.
If you are an owner or the administrator of the organization, you see the following
additional options:
- Manage user access: Allows you to see, grant, and edit permissions for all users having access to an organization and its services/applications. You can also invite new users. See Access Management.
- Send Invites: Allows you to email invitations to team members to join your organization, share join requests links to join your organization or a service and see the history of invitations you have sent.
- Approve Users: Allows you to approve access requests to the organization and services sent by other users.
- Settings: Allows you to edit different settings for an organization, such as name, description, visibility to request access, and email domains. It also allows you to perform some actions in an organization like transferring ownership (only if you are the owner), archiving it, or copying the join link to share it with new users.
