Annual user event to feature perspectives on machinery, process and electrical safety from industry-leading safety experts
MILWAUKEE, Oct. 4, 2012 — Manufacturers interested in learning how to implement comprehensive safety solutions – while increasing productivity – can gain valuable insight from industry specialists and peers at this year’s Safety Automation Forum event hosted by Rockwell Automation on Nov. 6 in Philadelphia.
Manufacturing innovators, decision makers, designers and engineers alike will converge at the 2012 event to share firsthand experiences in using machinery, process and electrical safety technologies. Speakers from Kimberly-Clark, Automatic Handling International, Grantek Systems Integration Inc., Eversheds International LLP, American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Germany’s Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (IFA), and Rockwell Automation will share best practices for complying with global safety standards, addressing legal considerations for safety automation, and managing machine safety across the supply chain. Keynote speaker Calvin Beyer, vice president and head of manufacturing of customer industry segments at Zurich North America, will address how manufacturing can reduce financial risk associated with incidents. He will also share best practices for requiring safe and sustainable practices throughout the supply chain.
The day also will include instructor-led breakout sessions designed to provide manufacturers and machine builders with best practices and guidance on meeting machinery directive requirements for CE certification, selecting the right logic system, and effectively mitigating electrical safety risk.
The day-long Safety Automation Forum event is paired with the Automation Fair event, providing industry professionals with nearly a week of training and information on best practices, safety standards, technologies, and the latest in time-saving development tools. The Automation Fair event, scheduled for Nov. 7 and 8 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, brings together Rockwell Automation and its comprehensive, global network of partners to help manufacturers learn about the latest technologies and trends in a single venue exclusive to manufacturers.
